What is MFR treatment?
Myofascial Release (MFR) Therapy is a safe and very effective type of massage to treat chronic and long standing pain problems.
Oak Health uses a special device which couple MFR Therapy and RF Heat Treatment at once. Our MFR device generates deep heat into the damaged tissue to accelerate extra cellular exchanges and muscle relaxation.
What Therapeutic Effect Does MFR Have?
MFR with Radio Frequency Treatment focuses on speeding up healing and brings balance to the body by effectively breaking down and rearrange the fascial adhesions so they can returned to normal. People who experience chronic headaches especially may find relief from MFR Treatment. Releasing the tightened muscles in and around the neck and head will reduce tension headaches.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
The young and professional team at Oak Health have been welcoming, homely and knowledgeable. They’ve put our family (5 of us and recruiting for more) at ease and have patiently answered our incessant questions (like what is this, what is that, why do we have to do this). Not just the doctor but Piwen and team have been instrumental in equipping us with know-how. I had initially gone to see Gabriel for my torn meniscus after my Ortho told me my only choice for recovery was to go for an op. While we’re still working on the knee, I have observed a significant improvement in mood, rest and appetite with the chinese medicine.

What Do I Feel During The Treatment?
Normal myofascia should feel pliable and elastic. The therapist will begin scrapping and stretching the areas that feel rigid with light manual pressure. The therapist then aids the tissue and supportive sheath in releasing pressure and tightness. The process is repeated multiple times on the same trigger point and on other trigger points until the therapist feels the tension is released. Myofascial release works the broader network of muscles that might be causing your pain. It tries to reduce tension throughout your body by releasing trigger points across a broad section of your muscular system.
Any Possible Side Effects After MFR?
Myofascial release by massage therapy has very few risks. Whether you’re trying to relax or aiming to ease back pain, massage therapy may be beneficial for pain reduction. However, in rare cases, MFR may cause therapy may cause, soreness due to releasing of muscle inflammation, allergic reaction to oils, gels, or lotions, or internal bleeding.
